Cytronex ebike kit with free Merida gravel bike - Cytronex ebike kit with free Merida gravel bike

In 2019, when my good lady was recovering from cancer, in an effort to encourage her to regain her fitness I converted her cyclocross bike by fitting a Cytronex ebike kit. After two ACL rebuilds Tina has accepted that she needs a step through ebike so this bike is now for sale.

Cytronex is a UK company that have been making kits for many years and won numerous awards.

I've read through your listing and just a few constructive comments if I may (all with a view to helping you sell):
  • The big thing with any used ebike (kit in this case) is the potential buyer needs to factor in the possibility of having to buy a new battery
  • In the Cytronex C1 case, a new battery is in the order of £500+ I believe (as it also contains the rather clever controller complete with BT tech for the app)
  • As per your listing, the kit is from 2019 with no indication given of the use the battery has been put to nor how it has been stored and maintained when not in use.
  • the C1 battery is just under 200Wh I believe - this is a rather small capacity for those who rely on powering their motor more than up the ocassional hill.
  • Many if not most ebike riders in this forum are I'd guess the sort of rider who would soon exhaust such a battery. You might have more success advertising on the Cycling UK forum where there are plenty of unassisted riders who may just be considering a bit of 'e' to help out here and there.
  • And of course the £700 price you are asking is more than the cost of a new kit for a rear wheel hub kit of equivalent performance and functionality as the C1 from boostbike.uk
  • Having said all of that there are at least 6 Cytronex riders in my local club who absolutely love their C1 kits and haven't had any problems that I know of, so there's nothing amiss with what you are selling, it's just that you might want to re-think the asking price.
I wish you good luck with your sale, best wishes, B4t
