Hi,
I bought a Cannondale Fatty from No Hills in early March 2013, managed a short few rides to charge and discharge bike prior to going on holiday. On return I did my final charge discharge and managed 14 miles on this run with assistance.
I love the bike, I am a 43 year old fairly fit man. I used to cycle in my home town (flat) a lot but moved a few years ago (hilly) and have not enjoyed riding as much i.e. distance has been reduced by hills.
I researched ebike for a long time and must say there are some interesting things out there. Tested a fair few but nothing to get me over the stigma (personal) of them.
I came across the Cytronex on a link whilst mooching around internet reviews. Mark at Cytronex is only 10-15 miles from me so I set off without appointment and dropped in.
Met Ben who could not have been more helpful, he talked me through the bikes and let me test ride 3 different bikes with the system fitted to them.
After negotiation and discussion I decided on the Cannondale Fatty 2013 model. It has a headshock system that irons out the general chatter that the other bikes had.
I have finally got around to writing this review as I have today cycled to work which is a 15 mile journey on up down roads with Portsdown Hill in the way, this is a pig! I managed it in 1 hour and 4 seconds door to door with an average speed of 15.1mph. Much better than I had hoped for and the assistance was perfect. Came in when needed but still felt like I had cycled the distance myself! I would never have done it without mind you....
I left the button for assistance on the whole time to see how the battery life did and I can happily say that it was still pulling well by the end of the 15 miles. I feel the range could easily push low to mid 20's with fair user input.
I would like to say that I purchased an additional charger so this is at my work and I will recharge before setting off home!
I have not had any problem or issue with the bike as of yet and am now over the 100 mile mark. I will try and update at intervals.
Pip
