I have both the old ones and the new.
The new one is really good, but Strava overlays just didn't work at all, but that may have changed now. I use the same strava data but with a different program too achieve the same result but with more options..
The problem is that you are using GPS data on a fixed timeline and as we know GPS does wander a bit so there are minor anomalies..
Anyway if you like that sort of thing check these out.. The first one is the new Fly12 CE, and the second one is the older Fly 6. The Strava overlay was added using Garmin Virb Edit ... Free to all!
