Our company has joined the cycle to work scheme and I am considering getting an electric bike through it. I don’t plan on cycling to work though as i would not feel comfortable on those roads and besides I have an electric car for that - for my some reason that I still do not understand, I px’d a v8 for it.
It looks like I have a budget up to £3000. I am not light and i have become rather unfit hence looking at electric.. My current bike is a Specialized Rockhopper which I have had for a number of years (when I was a lot fitter) and hopefully the electric bike will help me get back to fitness so I can get back to using this as well again.
It’s use will be mainly when I go off in the motorhome, so looking for something not too heavy and capable on most surfaces.
Under consideration at the moment are the following:
-Giant explore e+ 2
-Cube reaction hybrid pro
Anything else you would recommend I consider or any comments on the above 2?
