Hello everyone,
My name is Andy and I live in South West Cumbria, near the Duddon Estuary and cycle on my road and mountain bike for pleasure. I've previously helped monitor and maintain part of the Sustrans NCN when I live on route 5 in Oxfordshire. I also used to be on the EV network - the UK database of households where an electric car can be recharged en route. That was interesting, seeing an eclectic mix of EVs and their owners. I bought an EV in the end but sold it when my wife and I moved to Cumbria.
The West Cumbria Electric Bicycle Network was set up fairly recently and it inspired me to investigate pedelecs. I hit the big five 0 this year and I am interested in buying an electric bike this spring to help take the strain a little and extend the options for days out.
I will run some thoughts / questions past you in the 'What Electric Bike Should I buy' forum. In the meantime I'd like to thank the administrators and community members for such an interesting and well managed site.
