My last question I think
recap: I live in the Surrey Hills and enjoy making use of network of trails and would like to add an ad hoc commute to my cycling
I have a growing dislike of ascents.
Should I buy a cube either reaction or acid or a specialised turbo levo.
Or should I look elsewhere?

Please keep the questions all in the one thread otherwise it gets confusing.
You need to say how fit you are, expected length of trips and commute, and how much you want to pay.

All the Cubes are pretty good; you can probably get better value from the likes of Woosh (https://wooshbikes.co.uk/) or Whisper, but it depends on the answers to those questions.

The 2020 Acid now has the gen4 cx motor rather than the ALP which makes it a good buy - you don't seem to get a lot more bike for the more expensive Reaction. When I looked in autumn 2018 Cube hardtails seemed to be a hundreds of pounds cheaper model for model than Specialized.
