George Michaels has come out in sympathy with the Captain of the stricken Italian cruise liner Costa Concordia. Michaels has been quoted as saying,"I have total sympathy with Francesco Schettino. There have been many occasions when I have found myself lying on my side with a very badly damaged bottom after a night cruising."
