Converting hub to mid engine

Hi new to forum, general question I have a carrera cross city e bike which has a hub motor, can I replace said hub motor and install a mid engine one, hopefully keeping original batteriers 36 volt.

Yes most likely if the BB shell is a standard English thread.
Though pics of the BB under the bike are helpful to see that nothing will foul the fitting.
