You can fit any kit you want, but with those weird handlebars, you're going to have to think about where to mount the LCD and a throttle if you want one. What stuff you need depends on many factors, like all up weight, hills you go ip, distance you want, fitness, etc, which you haven't told us.

I'm a novice at the conversion process, but my wife has the Dawes Oasis Deluxe which I think is a similar era and model to yours, but with 26" wheels and conventional straight bars. I completed the conversion late last year which was pretty straightforward with the excellent support and advice from the supplier (Woosh) and she's found it fantastic and suits her needs. We ride approx 30mile tours on rolling terrain mainly around Kent. I definitely over-specced the battery as with her riding style and assistance level use the bike has likely a >100mile range based upon how infrequently it requires charging and the battery level indicator.
