Convert e bike from throttle only to pedal assist

Hi so I have a used throttle e bike which has 1000 watt motor. I want to convert my bike from throttle only to pedal assist to improve its range. The bikes seems to be converted as the motor wheel has a different thickness wheel to the front wheel.
Does anyone have any understanding on how I should go about trying to make my e bike pedal assist?

Well without some details such as bike, motor, battery, controller etc, it will be difficult for anyone to help.

A 1000 watt motor does not sound like a road going pedelec.

A PAS needs an output from the controller, you will have to show nice pics of any wiring and not a birds nest affair.
