I've just been given a Claud Butler Glide 1 ebike, which has a duff battery. It's a 250 Watt alloy rear hub motor with a 34v 10ah rack mount battery, which I can't seem to find a replacement for.

I'm wondering if I can fit a stronger battery, using a conversion kit, or either I'll need to buy a complete electric motor kit?

Any advice would be very welcome. I'm a complete novice when it comes to ebikes.

You can use any 36v battery as long as the existing one doesn't do anything special, the ah capacity doesn't matter more just means extra range.
Show us a pic of the battery and the discharge connector.
