Hi all,

Can anyone recommend an intelligent controller for 24v 200w, DC geared brushless hub motor ebike?

I don't want a display, (no KT or Brainpower please).

I just want to get my bike working with a simple controller like my old one (pic attached), which is no longer working properly.

Thanks

Funny you should ask about ridding without a headset.. asked a similar Q myself and you kinda can..
See @saneagle 's post Here.

As for a specific recommendation, I cant help there but have browsed over way too many cheaper no-name controllers in search for the elusive KT controller and headset at a bargain sale price with reasonable pnp.

I would take a punt on a locally dispatched ebay bargain I would urge you to consider a bundle with a basic led headset that you can experiment with running without, but it would be a real pita to get a controller minus headset for it just not to work on its own.

Edit perhaps even pay the amazon premium for the no quible return if the punt goes bad??

The controllers of today have evolved, they need a display as the display is the on/off switch becaue they have various power levels and other features. If you had such a controller it would likely be a one speed only controller and likely low speed .
You can use modern controllers and simply not use the display by shorting some of the wires together but you only get one power level which likely is the lowest , then you need to add an interupter/on/off switch which means messing about . In the end you may as well keep the display and benefit from the extra functions.

The most versatile controller that seeems to work with every motor except Ezee is the KU63 from BMSBattery, but it'll be expensive if you order it on its own because of the postage cost. It has the connector for a 3-speed switch, which gives reduced speed, normal speed and overdrive, but you don't need to use it. Without one connected, it gives normal operation.

I'm not sure why they call it torque simulation because there's no power adjustment on the pedal assist.
