Complete Wheel set for 29er

Featured Replies

I would like another set of wheels to have a different tyre selection, it seems a lot easier to change wheels than tyres.

Is it as simple as buy the bits and put them together ? I want to drop in and out different wheels with everything fitted.

Not looking for a Rolls Royce, Mondeo will do me fine, just want good quality and works. Are these the right size bits and is it straight forward to put together.

From Chain reaction does this look right for my Sduro 29 SL, will use tubes.

Open to advice as I know nothing about it at all. Preference is to buy all from one supplier for ease.

looks all ok to me tho the wheels dont have sealed bearings but they are bottom end wheel set.

discs just bolt on and same with the cassette tho you need this to tighten it on the wheel.

When you say bottom end you mean cheap not some technical description ?

A sealed bearing set will cost and an example might be ?

Still all good in the price range happy to go for that.

Any thing else tool wise to fit the cassette ?

you will need a chin whip to remove it thats all you need imo.

my cb wheels when new in 2014 was £500 each.

Including a set of elbow protectors that is £ 370, so a bargain compared to just one of yours. I did not want the best, just good, which is fine for me.

Thank you for your advice, I will put the pictures up when I have built them. Or bring them down for you to put right if it all goes Pete Tong.

Those cobalt wheels look good and they are eBike rated.

Also a very complementary reviewer said:

"Excelente roda, me enviaram com todos os acessórios para usar em vários tamanhos de suspensão, enviaram também os bicos para tubeless, tudo perfeito, muito bem embalado também"

Who could argue with that ?

Since you're buying a new wheelset,tires,etc...You want to look into a 27+ setup. I'm sure you'll have plenty of clearance with your 29er.

Definitely go tubeless to minimize the possibility of flats too.

Hi IR772

Don't know if this interests you or not. PM me if it does.

Some time back, like you, I decided I would like a spare wheelset for my 2014 Cube Reaction Hybrid Race 29 so that I could put thinner road tyres on and just change wheels, not the hassle of tyres.

Shortly after that the opportunity of a really good deal came up on a KTM bike. So now I have an even better solution. A trekking bike and a MTB, both with the same drivetrain, engine, battery etc.

This leaves me with a complete pair of very lightly used 29er wheels hanging up in the garage doing nothing.

They are complete with hubs, skewers, discs, tyres and 10 speed casette.

They are sunringle rims (with green flashes), Rapid Rob front tyre, Continental Trail King rear tyre, (both with little wear) 180 disc on front, 160 on rear. The 10 speed cassette is part of an XT drive train.

If this link works it should take you to a decent size photo of the bike

Anyway, as I say, if they are of any interest to you ... or anyone else ... just PM me and I'm sure we could agree a sensible price.

Cheers

Tony

Oh FFS. Typical!

I should have waited!

Chain reaction delivering tomorrow, thanks for the offer they would have been perfect for me as I an not a keen mechanic.

yeah but you got some bad ass wheels now as you only get wheels like that on the top end bikes.

wait till you pick one up and compare it to what you have id say you just taken off at least 500g over both wheels ;)

Thanks for the offer.

Best of luck selling them.

I have the SW guarantee that what I have bought will all fit together.
