Help, I have a 2016 Liv Rove 2 that I’d like to convert but after looking online I’m going round in circles and have absolutely no idea what sort of kit I should buy.
I cycle on the road with a few gentle hills and don’t go far, just a few miles, up to ten max.
I’m not looking for a super duper conversion kit, just one to help me cycle a tad easier and that won’t break the bank.

It will also need to be a kit that’s easy to fit for my partner who is good at diy but has no knowledge of bikes.

Thanks in advance.

It looks as if it is a straightforward bike that should be easy to convert.

Worth chatting to Woosh (https://wooshbikes.co.uk/). One problem at the moment is availability. Their https://wooshbikes.co.uk/?hubkits#xf08ckit should be fine for those needs, but they'll advise on any issues you may have fitting, suitability of particular kits, and availability. They are UK based and will give excellent customer service. Buying a complete kit and you know the bits will all work together.

There are Brexit complications ordering outside the UK at the moment; they'll probably settle down in a few months.

It's a very easy bike to convert, but you need to check the space for the battery in the frame triangle, which is the best place to fit it.. You can get a a rear motor kit (recommended) from Yosepower on Ebay or from Woosh. If none of the standard common batteries fit, you can get her small bottle batteries from Aliexpress that will.

You need a space a bit bigger than the battery to fit it because it slides forward and up to get it onto its receiver plate. You can find drawings with dimensions of the common batteries by a Google search.

Your partner would probably be fine following the instruction leaflet. Mine didn't come with one, but pretty much every kit is widely espoused about (or otherwise) ad infinitum on Youtube, if you search for "XXXXX kit review" or "XXXXX how to" etc. Or if you're specific about installation problems on this website, it's likely someone or other will have a possible solution or few for you.
