Yes, an extra hour in bed to make up for the one we lost in Spring!

It always amazes me that the hour we get back still has 60 minutes. Usually when government takes something from us like money, what we get back is far less. :(

British Summer Time ends 2am Sunday 27th
Hi Blew it, thanks for the reminder because I always tend to forget. For a matter of fact I wont even bother changing it at 2am just to play it safe for the next summer time change. Makes sense init?

I've been trying to work out, if I can persuade my wife that the clocks always go back an hour and never forwards, do we eventually get back to the day before I met her?

Interesting idea but in my case would need to live over 350,000 years so will give it a miss.

How many people would prefer it if the clocks stayed as they are now, with no changes for summer time and winter time,i hate the dark winter nights and would far prefer dark mornings,it also takes a several weeks to get the kids used to the change and back into a proper routine,do any people living in england actually gain anything from it.

I loved the old British Standard Time we had in the 1960's, stayed on Summer time all the year around if I remember correctly. The British Double Summer time of the War years and the late 1940's was a bit too much.
What I do not understand is why we put the clocks back only 7 weeks before the solstice, but wait 13 weeks before putting them forward.
Vote for Scottish independence and they can take GMT with them!

Of course when retired there's nothing to stop us setting our own clocks an hour different, especially now we have timeshift TV etc!
