Dear All
I have a couple of cells that need replacing in my battery. The battery shows a full charge but doesn't last long.
Can someone help as to how and where i can have this battery fixed.
Thank you Jean
Just so you know, replacing all the defective cells (the ones that are defective now), does not preclude others becoming defective 5 minutes after you get the battery back....
So it is most unlikely that a good battery builder would only change the defective ones for you - for which he would also have a huge amount of work, as each cell is welded into "packs", and he would also need to separate each and every cell from all the others in a pack, before testing.
Simply a waste of time IMHO!
Furthermore, all the "still good cells", have been on the same journeys etc., as the ones that are now defective.
The same good and bad effects, so to say!
Also, good batteries are carefully built from tested and graded "identical" cells, for various technical reasons.
I myself prefer Panasonic cells, but I am sure that many other here can recommend good makes of cells too, ones that I myself, have never (knowingly!) ridden with, but are also very reliable, and not too pricey.
I keep my fingers out of good batteries, as it is easy to cause problems, though I once changed a BMS for someone, without doing anything bad, and I once (years ago!) just had a quick look inside the battery on my first e-bike, without getting "stung!". (Fools go where Angels fear to tread, so to say!
Wishing you well
Andy

Highly likely more then one is done for, reputable guys don't mess with one or two cells. Total replacement will be the norm.
