Hi all, could really use some advice on which bike to buy.
I've got a short 2 mile commute to work, with one big hill in the middle and I bring my toddler on the back on a regular Hamax kid seat to my workplace nursery.
I can't make the hill anymore with him on the back and so spend half the journey pushing (and sweating, and not saving much time from walking in the end), or get awful pains in my knees if I crunch it.
Are there bikes that could cope with this weight and hill? (I'm also not the lightest). I am also guessing that the battery on the back rack won't work for fitting a bike seat, so I'd need one elsewhere. I want a peddle assist as I want to get some exercise!
I tried my sister-in-laws G-tech and felt like the bionic woman - whee! But not up a big hill with a toddler on the back. Would it manage? I'd also like to get it on my bike to work scheme which has a limit of £1k.
