It doesn't say lithium, and you can tellby the weight at 39kg.

They are SLA. These are a many years old design and normally sold for £300 in the past, I'm surprised they are still around. Our member Fecn was selling a pair for £100 each some while ago. They work ok and the largish motor is a 200 watt rated one, just very heavy though.

There is a slimmer battery lithium version on the market with the tell-tale extra bit of space at the back of the battery platform giving the game away.

I saw one of those locked up at my local Sainsburys a couple of times, I thought it looked quite nice, but reading here that it weighs 39kg takes some of the coolness away.

I was thinking that one could sell the SLAs for about £50,the charger for about £15, add a £100 and use it to buy a 10.4aH 44v lipo pack that would fit in the case and save about 9kg. Solder the shunt for 20amps and you'd have climbing power and a bit more speed, or go for a 15aH pack and have range - all for about £550.

And from memory that could beat the lithium version I'd seen, I think that was £650.
