I've built a 44volt Battery Pack with 9 14.8v 5ah hard case lipos at the moment this is run with a 250 watt hub motor all runs well my problem is charge the thing it takes far to long with imax6 charger I've charged them separate and together as the whole pack & as as an 3 battery pack

I can only use this pack every other day as what with sleeping & work & the charge only works for 120 minutes at a time lucky I still have my 10ah battery on the bike as well my journey to work is only 10 miles round trip so this has no problem coping with this but 12 miles is about its limit but I would like some advise on a suitable charge for the job

also am will be upgrading to a 36v 800watt or 48v 500watt rear hub which would you think would be best suited to this battery may add 3 more battery later for a bit more range

I know this won't speed up the charge time but I'm sure you can increase the 120 min at a time charge time in the settings so you don't have to keep restarting it charging every 2 hours which would help a bit

You could add a BMS to your setup ?

Only issue is your voltage . 48v BMS and chargers are readily available but 44.4v rather harder to come by. There was a thread about it before - I'll try to find it

its basically 3x 14.8v x3 to get 15ah. Ive made a Deans connector in Parallel for the charge so i can the whole pack at 14.8 just started charging as I've just finished work (nights) have adjusted the charger so its not on the timer & ill see how that goes my charger is a 5amp max maybe i need to go up market 10 or 15 still I'll give it go today

thanks
