July 30, 201114 yr I have a 36V EV Global bike "skeleton", and the Heinzmann rear hub motor responds intermittently to even direct voltage, so I suspect bad brushes or contacts. I am game to open it up. Any wise predecessors with critical "do's and don'ts", and anyone know if the brushes are a commonly available variety? I live in Arizona, USA. Thanks.

July 31, 201114 yr Hi, to open the heinzmann is not so difficult but you cant buy the brush as a spare-part from Heinzmann;-( Heinzmann (germany told me this way) so you must build your new brush by yourself with a hand-file, means a lot of work. Be carefull when opening the Motor because the magnet is very powerfull , dont open the motor close to your heart, it feels strange my experience regards frank
