changing bikes?

Hi, I'm after some advice. I have an ezee sprint, it's about four year old, everything works fine. I'm thinking of selling it and buying an oxygen s cross step through.

But, which is the better bike, the ezee or the oxygen? At the moment I'm just toying with the idea of changing bikes.

Modern bikes generally have better control systems. I think you'll find the pedal assist much better on the Oxygen. If you need a throttle, they normally give it to you in the box with the charger and toolkit to fit yourself. You just take off the grip (two screws), brake (two screws) and shifter (one screw), slide it on and plug it in. that's five screws to undo and six to do up.

the Ezee has a bit more torque, but the Oxygen has more speed. I haven't weighed them, but I'm pretty sure that the Oxygen would be lighter than the Ezee too. The Oxygen is also a lot quieter.

My ezee has a throttle, to be honest I never use it, tried it once when I first got the bike, shot up the street like a bullet,

I have an Ezee Forza and I've test ridden the Ezee Sprint. I haven't ridden the Oxygen S-Cross but I have tried Oxygen's previous MTB which I think had the same motor and controller as the S-Cross.

I'd say the Ezee was marginally more powerful than the Oxygen, certainly in terms of torque. It was quite a while ago but there was nothing to choose between them in terms of the pedal assist / power delivery so far as I can remember.

The Oxygen is better looking in my opinion, the control buttons are much easier to reach, and the integrated battery is a nice feature. But I'd be worried about leaving the bike unattended with that big LCD display - it really ought to be removable.

If the Ezee Sprint still does the job I'd be inclined to keep it as the benefits that the Oxygen offers wouldn't be enough to justify the additional cost in my opinion. But it really depends how much you want a new bike, whether you like the Oxygen after a test ride and whether you think it's worth the expense.

Thanks for the reply. The ezee works fine, if I'm honest I can't really justify spending that amount of money on a new bike when there is nothing wrong with this one. I might hang fire and see if anyone has any decent sales at the end of the year.
