Hi I’m new to this site and new to ebikes well I’ve had it for about 6months.
I have a carrera vengeance I know it’s not the best bike out there but it does for what I need
Now the problem was the controller unit died and I ordered another one of ebay
When it came the lead that connects to motor had a male end not a female end like was needed feeling bit confused I took end of old lead end of new controller unit and joined wires appropriately
Excellent ebike is alive again I have power
Took for test ride now ebike seems to be running at half the power it had confused
Turns out more I looked into it the controller I brought had different barcode to part that was needed
Is it because it’s wrong controller I’m at half power
Is it because wires is just joined and taped not proper connecters
As said everything is working just at half the power
I’ve attached photos of old and new controller
I hope someone in the know might be able to help many thx for any help in advance
