Hello all could anyone tell me if I could upgrade the group set from 8 to possibly 11 speed ? Or if anybody know the max you can go up to ? Thanks

Any shimano freehub that accepts an 8 speed cassette should also accept upto and including an 11 speed, I did just this to a Cube hybrid, it came with 8 speed shimano claris, it now has 11 speed slx.
