Built this up over the the last couple of months but thanks to a very recent health issue I know it's not going to get used for a good while. The forks and kit for my Brompton will be following this shortly.
It's a new Carrera Subway 20" (Large)
EM3EV 10t upgraded front motor plus 4077 9 fet controller (bought s/h of this forum)
Cycle Analyst V3.0, 3 speed switch, thumb throttle, ignition, speed sensor, Hidden wire brake sensor on rear.
I've added 12 PolePAS so you can use this or it'll auto switch to cruise if you're feeling lazy.Front speed sensor with 2 magnets on wheels to smooth out the starts.
Motor built in to s/h but very good Mavic rim and a Halfords 2.3" puncture resistant tyre fitted. Steel forks modded to centre motor and retain "lawyer lips", two torque arms so no chance of it spinning out.
Battery is 6 x 5s 8000mAh Li-pos that can be configured to 10s 24 Ah or or 15s 16Ah (you'll need to make another loom if you want to go for 10s but I've got spare connectors/cable), Charger is Graupner Ultramat 16S mains charger with balance board etc. EM3EV triangle bag. these new are new cells, only been cycled once and only to 4.15v per cell.
Toppeak panniers/rack (clip on bag with fold down side bags) Controller mounted onto pannier sides.
Front disc upgraded to Avid BB7 203mm mechanical disc, rear is Teckro 160mm (plus the front disk & rotor as spares.)
Rear Crud guard bolted on, front Crud Guard.
This'll wheel spin from a standing start and pull 30mph or put the switch in setting 1 and you'll potter along at legal 15mph and get a nice smooth ride.
Handlebars upgraded as the original were too narrow.
Lost count of cost, must be a £1000+ but good fun for the 8 miles I've ridden it.
Make me a (sensible) offer?
