Hi guys

Can any one tell me with with a LCD plug rewire if the older Suntours LCD as in the photo can be fitted to the latest in place of the 2024 lcd Carrera Vengeance as in the photo’s .

The older and newer say from a 2019 bike and a 2024 bike look the same except PAS 4 pin opposed to Six pin On the 2024

I get a lot of people looking for the new version that seems to be expensive v the quality of the unit which is very poor.

And do any of the China brands use a protocol that will work in place with a Suntours system controller?

Cheers

Baz

Is 'suntours' the same thing as HESC?

If so, isn't the 'PAS' actually a torque sensor at the bottom bracket?

If so, then the 4 vs 6 way cable suggests a different torque sensor, and other parts of the system will be programmed to work with one or the other.

There probably is a subset of parts that as a group can be interchanged, but that might be everything except motor, or possible everything except motor and battery.

If you have working examples of both types, you might be able to work out what works by trial and error.

Hi mate
just done a six hour ride across London and back on the Giant Prime ,To a battery company to have a look at there work shop .
took on too much just having a few pain killing Vodkas
last few miles was agony

get my head round this over the weekend
I will never again complain about the cycle lanes down Park Lane and over Vauxhall bridge .although the ride through May fair and Belgravia brought back memories
