I ordered my Carerra Crossfire-E ebike last week and was told on the email that halfords would phone me come the day my bike arrives. Anyway the day came and halfords didn't bother phoning me to tell me my bike was in so I had to phone them to be told that it's been built and ready to pick up. I was a bit disappointed that halfords couldn't be bothered phoning me but I just put it down to they might of been too busy.

Anyway, I picked up my Crossfire-E today which cost me £999.99. My first impressions was it's a big bike but beautiful. I cycled back home on it from the store and I was very impressed. When I got on I started peddling and I felt the motor instantly accelerate me to about 15/16mph where it cuts off. I could feel when the motor cuts off as I had a strange feeling I was peddling in mud or with a flat tire (probably due to the weight of the bike I was trying to peddle without the assistance of the motor) but once I got under 15mph I could feel the speed again which was awesome.

Before I went home I decided to test my new ebike so I took it to my local country woodland park and it was a joy to use. I was zooming along peddling without any effort and going uphill was amazing as the motor helped me. I even overtook two cyclists going uphill. After I went home I thought I'd cycle to my friends and when I got there I was sweating and out of breath not because of the cycling because it's a breeze thanks to the motor but because I was carrying the bike up four flights of stairs and the Crossfire-E is a heavy bike to be carrying up stairs. Anyway, I am proud of my new purchase and so far it's the best thing I've bought in a long time. Long may it continue.

Ok, sorry I didn't realise I needed to post photos too. With the change I've got left I'll see if I can buy a GoPro camera for my Crossfire-E. I'll see what I can do. :)
