Carrera crossfire controller and display upgrade

Can someone please help, I am looking to purchase the following controller, display, pas, and thumb throttle.

Will these work alongside my original battery and hub motor on carrera crossfire suntour system (its the crossfire model without the frame bulge below battery)
do i need anything else if so what do you suggest?
also any ideas tips etc then please let me know
any help is greatly appreciated I am going to do a step by step guide hopefully will help any other crossfire owners on the forum

You may not like how the power is delievered, it is a speed controller which means the current supplied is pretty constantly max until one reaches the cut out speed in each PAS level. Tbh if one wants to ride up to the legal cut off, then one will likely only ever use top PAS level. Which ever PAS level the shove in the back is the same and that is a constant.

If you want more progressive control over how much power is delivered then one is better with a current control KT controller, where each of the PAS levels gives a different surge of power.

Two or three have converted hesc /suntour carrera bikes with Kt stuff and the swap over is pretty much std, one has to keep the motor connector cable up to the controller and solder /migrate the wiring to the KT controller wiring like for like as the connector at the motor end is not the same as your typical bafang. mxus, akm or most other generic clone hubs.

My go to shop is the one in the links below or aliexpress, choose the controller rating that matches you current one. On aliexpress one can buy the below controller with 17a rating.

Select the bits one meeds from the drop down boxes.

This one is a bit larger but 9 mosfet, although the current is 22a one can dial it down via the dispaly settings.

do you get an out put from your battery when turned on but not conected to your controller as i have read some carrera batterys talk to the controller i have a subway 15/05/20 and a 2021 the earlier one with torque sensor in the chain ring has 3 small wires and the red and black the later one has a motion sensor in the cartridge bb and the battery has 2 small wires and red and black some of the small wires are just to turn battery off from the display i belive
im fitting a kt system to mine you havea choice of about 8 or 9 displays , amazon has a 36/48 KT 15a for £26.96 or 22a for £41 an modds ebikes do ktlcd8h for £67.99 free p&p i did find them for £64 but cant find them now i expect you have seen on amazon the KT displays start from about £34 inc p&p
