Good day all,

Is there any store or online shop that sells spare parts for Carrera Crosscity Folding bike? I tried diagnosing the electrica problem of my bike because it just suddenly shuts off when im turning my handlebars and while going to a minor bump on the road, I found out that the wiring from the brakes and controller has worn out adn I am planning to change it. any recommendations? thank you all

The brakes should be a generic two wires (reed) or three wires (hall) , then one should be able to use any on the market wired brakes. All one has to do is make sure the wiring order is correct. The reed is simple if they don't work simply reverse the two wires with hall one has to identify the 5v & gnd then the third one speaks for it self.
If the connectors aren't the same then you may have to solder the wires together correctly to retain them.

If the brakes are part of a multiwire harness then it may be more tricky.

Halfords sell the Carrera Crosscity, so they'd be my first port of call for replacement parts.

Are the cables actually chafed or looked stretched? There are a few connectors in the wiring harness from the handlebars that can easily work themselves loose, especially when the stem is folded. That could lead to intermittant contact and cut-outs.
