Carrera crosscity bike power problem

Hi, we have 2 of these bikes. Ver handy because we can fold them and get both in the large boot of our car. On the last day of our holiday I took one out of the boot and the lights on the handlebar controller do not light up. Its not the battery because that works in the other bike. Im wondering if when I last folded it a cable caught and pulled a connection loose, but before I take too much apart I thought I would ask to see if anyone has any ideas. Thanks John

Certainly a power supply issue with the wiring or battery docking connection.
One will have to carry out some fault finding to ascertain where the issue is.

I'm always wary when putting (especially laying) my own folding ebike in the boot of my car because the motor cable can so easily be crushed or snagged, or the derailleur hanger bent (especially when driving and the bike could jiggle around a bit). You could maybe first check for wire damage where the motor cable exits the rear hub, and that the connector (a few inches further up the frame) is pushed fully home so the arrows meet.

Thanks . I found the problem. The connector pins had got slightly bent. Be more careful next time when putting in car, . They are very awkward to lift when folded.
