Has anyone used b'twin tyres, especially the B'TWIN City 5 Protect Hybrid Bike Tyre - 700x45.
These would be for my human only bike.
I have 700x38 at the moment and would like to take some of the buzz out of the trails I like to ride, partly hardpack dirt & gravel. 45c is probably the biggest I could squeeze in the frame.
Because there's nothing wrong with my current tyres and I'm only looking to go a little bigger just as an experiment, I didn't want to spend a lot and the above tyres are only £9.99 each.
I've been spoiled a bit because I have 2.1" big apples on my pedelec, they roll well and are über comfortable

My mate still has his trekking 5s on his bike which surprised me in an agreeable fashion. My Michelin tyres were called city protect and had a similar tread, could they be the manufacturer supplying Decathlon?

In that case my rear lasted 3500 km + and the front is like new. I think the weight of the motor inside a cheap Chinese rim got the best of the rear which may have been under inflated at some point (though it was always above minimum recommended pressure when I checked).

With have a Btwin racing bike with Btwin tyres, the walls of the tyres were very badly cracked within 6 months, I did replace them and noted the cracks probably didn't affect the structure of the tyre and they were pretty heavy compared to the replacement Continentals.
