October 28, 20205 yr Just wondering if anyone has any opinions on Brose s motors 2019-20, there seems to be quite a few reports on drive belt snapping, and frequent motor replacements, not sure if most of them were pre 2019 models and the new ones have had software update to fix problem, i am quite interested in this motor , so any feedback would be much appreciated thanks.

I remember reading that Brose were confident that a software update had solved the unreliability issue, a good friend of mine is on his third Brose motor in as many years but he has been assured that Brose has not only fixed the problem but extended the warranty from 2 to 4 years, he’s still hanging on to his old Bosch CX motor bike though as it has proved noisier but far more reliable than the Brose.
