Are there any drones capable of flying 24/7? Which implies in all weathers?

Admittedly the actual article doesn't say the drones will be flying 24/7 but typically of headlines, the word "drones" is given prominence when they might only be used a fraction of the time. Possibly only when the other measures have identified something to investigate.
It would appear to be as well thought through as Government schemes usually aren't !

If Jonathan really is OldTom, on which I have little idea, you are very wrong since he does own e-bikes and has posted many times on the subject.

This link gives some detail, plenty more like it.
.
Terribly sorry to dissapoint anyone who confuse me with tom(am beginning to think he must be an absolute emotional and intellectual giant to make such a lasting impression, even on someone as thick as fingers). I only own a battered ten year old brompton.

There may be some doubt over who he is, but after yesterday’s performance, he left us in no doubt as to what he is.

Another point of view

Labour and Brexit: a ‘sensible’ deal?

Mary Kaldor 19 November 2018

Isn’t now the moment to abandon the soft Brexit position, and come out for remain and reform as part of a far-reaching deliberative exercise in both Britain and mainland Europe?

Instead of having been a member of the EU for the purpose of sabotage from the inside, the proposition being to become active and committed members and reform it through democratic process

Well it sounds practical to me, but I can't see the Westminster mob buying the notion for a moment, can you?

But on the other hand, neither did you.
bit uncouth for someone "retired early" to use, don't you think, who wants his opinions taken seriously?

I don’t think I saw any posts from an Old Tom.
But you managed to reach an opinion on the basis of no evidence
His opinions were often extreme, but not untrue more often than not.
Since they were , unlike many of the leave supporter contributions we get of late much more frequently on topic, not merely intended to disrupt debate with pointless arguments.

By all means let us have this situation continue, as it does wonders for the number of hits the thread gets, and since there are no leave voters out there who can advance a pragmatic argument that presents Brexit in a favourable light, we have to make do with what supporting comical posts we can get.

I don't mind the extreme bit, but there is no need for him to call me an idiot and I am not the only one at the receiving end of his insults.

Very true Woosh, you are infact the only leave supporter we have had that could articulate an argument that cast a favourable light on Brexit.
At least we could disagree in a civilised manner.
If only we had more leave supporters with that ability!

As to being called names , and calling them too, I am certainly guilty of that, but regard that as part of the territory and if you set yourself up as a target, someone is going to take the opportunity to shoot at you.
I suspect it anyone bothered to make a league table of being called names on this thread, I would have a clear lead on the others.
What matters is to get the message across, it remains unchanged
Brexit is a terrible mistake.

Points one and two - you have a point
Point three out of context use of the word "spamming" - spamming refers to unsolicited advertising
