Oh dear, this time you have one thing right and one thing wrong:

I’d rather remain than have this deal.
Absolutely, remain is the best way.

In regard to foreign investors pulling their money out. I can’t really see that. I can’t see the Qataris moving the shard or the Germans stopping the production of Land Rovers etc.
Land Rover is owned by Indian company Tata, not Germans.

I genuinely don’t think Mays deal is better than no deal as it isn’t Brexit. I’m going to use my we will be the Eunuchs of the EU. I think that’s pretty good tbh. I’d rather remain than have this deal.

I can’t see the Qataris moving the shard or The Germans stopping the production of Land Rovers etc. The money is tied into investment not sitting in a bank. But yes it will definitely be a rocky 6 months or so. A run on the pound is almost inevitable or an attempt on that. Hopefully we can parry this. The strokers on here will love it and be in a constant state of orgasm. But we’ll get through it.
you should see how easy it is to create a panic selling of the FTSE250 with the help of hedge funds and speculators beside George Soros.

For a starter (source ONS):

UK foreign direct investment with the European Union. The European Union (EU) is the region with which the UK has the greatest outward and inward foreign direct investment (FDI) relationships. FDI with the EU accounted for 41.2% of total UK assets in 2016 and 42.6% of total UK liabilities.

It was just an analogy but fair enough. Same rules apply though.

No doubt mate. It is a scary prospect but as I say we can parry.

We can literally turn off the tap.

Interesting times.

great idea! commended! (I did point out he was a "Dangerous Intellectual")
That's and even more devastating idea than Brexit, clearly you are "upping your game"
Just one drawback,if we did what you suggest we would be the ones getting an "upping"

It’s not even halfway through the second half yet.

Save your hollow gloating till it’s done loser. Remember two things. Nothing is Agreed until Everything is Agreed and Brexit means Brexit.
Don't forget 'STRONG AND STABLE','IN THE NATIONAL INTEREST',@THE RIGHT DEAL FOR ALL'......and all the other soundbites that May has dreamed up or more likely have been dreamed up for her.

it's an good deal, don't think anyone else will succeed better than May.
She's given an impossible task: we want to keep as many benefits as possible, protect as many jobs as possible and pay as little as possible, keep as many doors pen as possible and don't expect any reward for your effort.
I don't think JC or BJ or JRM would do a better job under the circumstance.
May has made the best of a bad hand,I actually admire her for sticking with the deal. Elements of Chequers were impractical, but they have been dropped.
What Brexiters dont like is the backstop,we may still be in the CU and SM in 10 years time, for me thats ok....keep it going for 20 years plus and we will all have forgotten about it....BRINO,hehe!!!
I had a senior civil servant in my warehouse recently,I asked him what preparations I should be making for NO DEAL brexit....his answer was don't know,we havent any plan either.

part of me like the idea that UK regulations are made by and for ourselves.
the other part of me like things to stay same here and in France.

But there is an appetite for a vote of no confidence.

No matter where you stand on this any fool can see her deal is worse than what we have already.

What she is offering isn't Brexit. And it's not remaining either.

Everyone loses.
How can you say there is an appetite for a vote of no confidence, there are 84 members in the ERG and they cant get 48 letters of no confidence from their own club, they dont have a hope of getting the rest of the Tories to vote down May.
We are all agreed that her deal is worse than the current ,so surely if there is another referendum vote you will be voting remain????
What she is offering is Brino,it will leave us as close to current but enough of a Leave element to appease the Brexit nutters.

The no confidence deal will come after her deal is rejected in the commons.

The way downing street is spinning this is saying if the pig ****** had come back with the immigration agreement the country would be cheering from the rafters.

Claire Perry has said this.

They just don't get it....

I think she has misjudged it though. When parliament votes down the deal she will have to beg juncker for an extension. I think this is what will get the vote of no confidence in her
No it wont...what will attract a vote of confidence is if after her deal is voted down, which I think is now unlikely, she decides to put to parliament a peoples vote,I think there is a majority in the house for a second vote....then JRM will start throwing his toys around and try to get the 48 letters, but he still will be defeated by the Tories, that is the end of hard Brexit. Dont forget that once May has won a leadership challenge there cannot be another for one year, she will be the stronger after the challenge.
The EU have already said they will extend Art 50 to allow for a second referendum.

the EU have said that they will only agree to an extension of A50 if the UK needs it for a general election or second EU referendum. The cost will be at least £10 billions per annum, more likely £17 billions when ancillary costs are added. The conservatives are in the driving seat at the moment, that means the choice will be between May's deal or no deal. Unseating May will mean no deal because her replacement would be likely a no deal supporter.
May will survive, the ERG have lost the plot, there is no appetite for a NO DEAL in parliament.

Can you not see that "getting through it " is way way short of what was promised?.. I don't know about Qataris intentions ,but I would be less sure about the Germans. What are your plans if the rocky six months becomes 18,24,36... ?. . What tends to happen is that it becomes the new normal.

She will win the vote of no confidence because the Tories will put Party before country but there really isn't a pathway to get her deal over the line.

Although I wouldn't be surprised if Juncker and Barnier suddenly find a way to change the wording of the backstop after she signs the deal on Sunday.
