The European Union
In the Daily Mirror
The Salisbury poisoning gets even stranger
"
Amesbury couple poisoned by deadly Novichok 'found syringe stashed in bag during trip to park'
Police are investigating if the couple found the killer substance hidden in a bag but had no idea what it was before taking it away"

  1. How do we have a headline like that if the Police are investigating "if" that happened?
  2. Why would they open a bag, touch the contents and take it away?
  3. What became of the bag?
  4. Why would the assasins leave the bag in a park?
  5. More important the syringe would have to be loaded from a sealed container, why wasn't it in the bag too,and where is it?
  6. How could a bag remain in a park without being found earlier than two months after the incident?
All very peculiar.
From reading the article in the Guardian I think the couple have illegal substance consumption issues...

My theory is the same as for the first time - huge smoke screen just before embarrassing government meeting to make sure all the headline space is being used.

Poison is something that you use carefully and has logical effects that depend on the chemical formula - it involves science. Neither of the two supposed "Russian nerve agent" cases have the slightest bit of logic or science involved...

And in the Daily Star this
"
Britain will 'stand up to Russia' over 'barbaric' poison attack, says Sajid Javid
BRITAIN will stand up to Russia over the latest round of Novichok terror which left two people critical, the Home Secretary has said."

What barbaric poison attack?
There hasn't been another, has there?
This sort of Fake news is making a mockery of our reputation world wide.
We are being led up the garden path again, even his words that attempt to make Blaming Russia for the previous attack an established concrete FACT not a suspicion, should be a sign that this Government is working a Flanker (again) to distract the public from serious mistakes they are making.

But there is some good news , the greater mass of the readers comments even in the right wing papers are treating this matter with the contempt it deserves.

The principle of the "Big lie" if repeated often enough being accepted as the Truth isn't working this time.

However, I can offer some useful advice if you want to "Stand up to Russia"
Simple really

Cancel Brexit, and Putin will be angry that his plot to attack and split the EU failed, and it cost him a lot of money, for nothing gained.

this comment comes from a reader of Bloomberg:

However much extra time you give May, it won't make the slightest difference. It's obvious that procrastination is in her nature and that her judgement is questionable.
Add to that the traditionally secretive system of government in Britain and it doesn't look promising. They are all in denial over two key facts - economic gravity, which means that countries trade most with their neighbours and the fact that the principle reason for foreign owned manufacturers' presence in the UK is its membership of the EU.
Economic nationalism is pure poison and she doesn't seem to realise that drinking more of it doesn't make things better.

"
Amesbury: Russia using UK as 'poison dumping ground', Home Secretary says, as couple fall victim to Novichok"

This guy is trying to become an even bigger idiot than Boris and he needs an adult to tell him not to make such inflammatory statements

That could be problematic. Morgan buy major parts from USA.. Don't think they build any in house running gear. The back axles for plus 4 are from American horseless carriages.. Still use live axles and cart springs...
The three wheeler joins up American V twins (derived from Harley but actually SS) and Mazda MX5 gearbox..then a belt drive from Dyson (joking) to back wheel. (Obviously doesn't need a diff)
Since Mazda a part owned by Ford I suppose they could get bits via USA?? Who knows.
To almost get back on-topic (from a site PoV) for a moment...

The Morgan EV3, looking at the world of zero emissions motoring from an entirely different perspective. ‘What if an all-electric vehicle was bespoke made, hand crafted and exhilarating to drive?’ The EV3 embraces new technology, delivers responsible driving excitement and continues to celebrate traditional British motor manufacturing. Following a soft launch of the Phase 1 EV3 mule vehicle in 2015, Morgan is excited to showcase the final ‘pre-production phase’ car which reveals the restyled body and interior. Weighing less than 500kg, the all-electric 3 Wheeler has a range of 150 miles.

Not all - some had what I think I remember as the old Ford Popular engine.
OG is referring to 3 wheeler, if Ford pop engine ever went in that I, d be surprised. Was a heavy old lump for a 3 wheeler. Know a bit about Morgan but no expert.

I too was talking about a Morgan three-wheeler.

F-Series three-wheelers (1932–1952)

1936 Morgan F4 Open Tourer
The Morgan F-4 was introduced in 1933 at the Olympia Motor Cycle Show.[26] The F-4 had a new pressed-steel chassis[17] the four-cylinder Ford Sidevalve engine used in the Model Y, and a four-seat body.[14][26] The F-4 was supplemented by the two-seat F-2 in 1935 and the more sporting F Super, with cycle-type wings and louvred bonnet tops, in 1937. Production of the Ford-engined three-wheelers continued until 1952.[14][26]

Apologies.
Like I said no expert.. I, ve driven JAP engined (and a Matchless V twin engined one around Donington) Think current 3 wheeler is Morgan's best car. (but too expensive) . Not keen on plus 4, uses technology that was old when introduced but they still sell well.
I, d always thought, probably wrongly, that all 3 wheelers had to be under 750 llb.. That Ford engined must be very close to limit.

No apology needed.

Were you thinking of this:

Morgan three-wheelers benefitted from an annual tax of just £4, half that the Austin 7,[23] provided they remained under 8 cwt.

I thought it was less. Wrong again.. Getting it down to 7cwt would be a problem.. 8cwt...they obviously could.

From the Express this morning
"
I was WRONG' Carney admits Bank of England Brexit prediction MISTAKE
BANK of England Governor Mark Carney has had to admit that his predictions of Brexit gloom were wrong as he gave an upbeat message on the economy. Mr Carney also said there could be even better to come with an England World Cup being an “unalloyed, unadulterated absolute good" for the UK economy.

What was this mistake?

He said the final reading of economic growth for the first quarter, which was revised up from 0.1 percent to 0.2 percent last week, confirmed his view of the UK's trajectory.

"Domestically, the incoming data have given me greater confidence that the softness of UK activity in the first quarter was largely due to the weather, not the economic climate," he said.

"A number of indicators of household spending and sentiment have bounced back strongly from what increasingly appears to have been erratic weakness in Q1."

So an improvement of 0.1% is a Brexit Boom? and the Readers comments fell for it!
Fake News at it's very best

that's about the best bit of news for the hard brexiters this week.
it is now clear that if the cabinet cannot agree on what they want (besides collective suicide), Parliament is going to vote to require the UK be in a customs union leading to extension of A50 and no brexit. No no deal brexit is not going to happen.

I liked that Matchless engine better, had one in a Brough Superior motorbike when I was in my teens, long before laws stopped teenagers riding such beasts, and even before there were consumer m/c helmets!
.
The Morgan with the Matchless V twin was a fast car, and crazily torquey.Never driven anything like it for opposite locking oversteer. It was wonderful .. I, m going back to mid 80's, I, d guess it would be worth a fortune now.
I,d always thought there was a market for a modern copy... A couple of kit car companies did one using Moto Guzzi V twin and a couple did one based on Citroën 2cv engine, but they were not quite same. The new one is brilliant but £10k too expensive. (It's double price of cheapest MX5 which is a superb car, the 1.5 sky active is nicest of range)

The Ford/Mazda partnership ended in 2015.

wheeler
Didn't know that... Wonder why ? There were links between Kia and Ford via Mazda .. Partnerships between big companies seem the norm. Many cars we see as different share engines, platforms, etc.
I believe Hyundai bought Ford's interest in Kia ?
