Bigstone C500 09 error is comm,s .
If one has changed controller and display then suspect the trunk cable between to be faulty.

Auto set to 36v cannot change the voltage
If you can tell us how it started, it might give us a clue as to where to look. If I were to guess, I'd say that you have a shorted MOSFET or damaged motor cable.

Is the motor cable connector in all the way to the line? 1mm short can cause that problem.

Did it cut out going up the hill or after going up the hill.

After going up the hill by about 15yards then it seemed the lcd had a burn mark on it the controller was extremely hot but I’ve replaced both and the system will not come on

If the controller got very hot and the lcd showed a burn mark , then controller can be damaged by overcurrent. The fact the controller got very hot suggests one was riding likely too slowly up hill thus causing high current which will turn into heat.

One should try and continuity check the trunk cable form the controller to the display .

Based on 10 miles ridden on the wheel comment, and the film on the lcd still?? If a new Yose-power kit, contact support, allow an extra day or so for time zone differences and keep it simple for translation s/w but you should get a fault finding set of instructions and photo requests probably starting with ensuring everything is fully pushed home up to the indicating line on all plugs/sockets especially motor and controller. (try sending such pics with email #1)

My initial fitting issue was successfully assessed by support, and i recall reading a post in here with a controller was
promptly replaced. - But you will be dealng with Chinese (probably?) support staff ;)

Failing to power on with replacement controller/display???? - Rather than drop the odd detail here and there perhaps provide the full story because a working controller/display used to test/replace your faulty ? devices would indicate battery? bms? or cable /connection or fuse issues..
