April 26, 20223 yr So it’s ok to keep the front sensor on I myself would, if only one sensor, for it to be on the front brake, but in the larger scheme of things, it probably makes little difference in the end...especially if using both together, as we are recommended to do by many!! best wishes Andy

On my bike's bbs01b, there's a setting for how quickly PAS is reduced after one stops pedalling, and it can be changed to a very rapid dropoff, but even with that set, I wouldn't remove brake sensors. I don't want to be battling with the motor when I need to stop suddenly.

I agree fully with your comments. :) :) If the motor does a reasonable job of moving the bike well, nobody needs the extra distance taken when stopping the bike, because the motor is still pushing, which could possibly save a life, even if its only a meter or less! And it cannot do the motor much good either to be stopped in that manner, as current will be enormous for a very short time, possibly eventually damaging or reducing the cell life, till any over current "watch dog" cuts in, thereby also possibly reducing the distance one can ride on a single charge.... Nothing positive! Who stops a car, in gear, with one foot on the accelerator, the other on the brake? OH YES, my aunt before she died, and the car was always getting repaired for something or other.....usually the clutch, and she blankly refused to have an automatic! regards Andy
