I have just stripped down the brakes on my electric bike and discovered the brake pads are somewhat knackered.

I have never been able to find out the manufacturer of the bike but, as mentioned in some of my other posts, it is very similar to a Whisper. I also believe it is of Chinese origin.

Anyway, the calipers are Zoom R0160 and I require some replacement pads for same.

I have looked through all the usual websites and cannot find any reference to these so does anyone have any advice, or can direct me to where these can be purchased?

Sorry, I don't know where to get these pads, but I had a similar problem with my bike. It was fitted with Quad QMD mech disk calipers. The replacement pads were nearly £20 per pair. For £25 I was able to buy a complete new Shimano caliper, including pads.

Worth thinking about if the pads are difficult to get hold of.

My lbs informed me that zoom don't do parts - Everything is chuck it away & buy new

I assume they just can't be bothered, just like everything else they're not interested in.

Halford sell Zoom pads - take one of the old ones along to a store and see what they've got on the shelf.

Alternative, promax pads fit zoom calipers - do any of these or these look similar?

Hi

Yes those do look very similar to the ones fitted. There are some complete kits available on Ebay that I have been looking at as an alternative!
