Went back in shed this morning and error code returned ,then cleared. Took it to dealers where they cleared error and did software update so far so good . I'm glad I hadn't put dongle on till warranty is up as dealer might not of been so helpful,

get the dealer to try a different batt with the bike as a faulty one can give that error msg.

if not then will need a new motor replacement and will take 1-2 weeks as the dealer will need to send the one back off the bike back to bosch b4 they will send out a new motor.

Anyone has some long term experience of this error?

A while ago I got this error code. But then it disappeared and things worked again.

Since then I have occasionally had an error on the battery pack when charging, LED 1/3/5 is flashing, out of temperature range, even when I've had it indoor for a few hours. But that has magically disappeared after some days also.

But yesterday I was biking and got Error 500 again. It disappeared after a while. Came back. Disappeared after a while again. Then I got Error 530! (Battery pack error). But it disappeared quickly. Continued to bike and after a while I got Error 500 again. And this time it doesn't disappear! Tried a few hours later. Still there. BUT... this morning I tried (without biking) and it is now gone! But can't trust the bike now.

My motor is replaced a while ago (it has rolled 1517 km now). But battery pack is original (4415 km now). Still half a year warranty left.

Any ideas? I would suspect the battery pack but error codes is not clear as water. And difficult to go to the service center with an occasionally/random error like this.

ok, good. I was just out riding for 5km, got one 500 and one 530 :(

...ohhh, and one other thing. When #500 occured it was clear that it is the motor. It made some rattling noise in the motor *. And then I tried walk assist just to see what's going on. And it didn't work correctly, it pushed with very little power and it staggered. And then it came, the deadly Error Code 500! And I had to walk a little. Tried power on/off a few times on the way. Suddenly after a while it worked again. And I got a #530, power on/off fixed that. Continued riding a km or so home, nothing happened. Strange this. But at least I know now that the newmotor is broken :(

(* heard that noise yesterday also but didn't catch it that time, thought something was looping in the fender or something, but now I know it was the motor)
