Merlin is a good place to look for a replacement.
Cheap (relatively), and for me at least fast and efficient.

Recelling is a bit complicated as the BMS has to be kept alive during the process, which is why not many people offer it.

Generally, if your battery is a standard one, it's cheaper to buy a complete replacement than to get one re-celled. It only makes sense to re-cell unique or impossible to obtain batteries.

If you get a battery recelled you are paying UK rates for a one-off job, and parts (cells) bought in relatively small quantities.
If you buy a new battery you are paying Chinese rates for mass production with all the appropriate tools for that battery;
and huge orders for the cells.

Thanks for the replies folks. Does anyone know if you can directly replace a Bosch frame mounted 400 WH power pack battery from 2015 with a 500 WH one? They seem to be the same size physically.
Cheers
John

The 400WH and 500WH are interchangable, as long as they are from the same generation and the same format (rack, downtube) I got the 500WH Merlin (rack) to replace the aging 400WH for our 2016 approx Motus and it worked with no problems.
