i have a bms shrink wrap battery, like a lot of others have on here.
i had it fitted to rear of bike like d8vh,but bike felt top heavy.
i wanted to fit it into the triangle like my lipos were.but it wouldnt fit.
i ummed and arred about altering it.
it wouldnt be guarenteed if i altered it.doh it isnt guaranteed anyway, and i wouldnt be sending it back to china no matter what.
so i pulled all the foam off.
the battery is made up of 20x10ah cells,it should be 10x20a per bms web site.
which makes the 10cell bms a bit pointless.
the battery are held toghether with the yellow cellotape.nothing else.
so big soldering iron,on 1 joint and it came apart no problem.
i split the pack so it was at 14 cells or 4" wide with padding.
then put the remaing 6 cells on top, this reduced height by 1".
then linked them with some 12g wire.
i wrapped the cells with cross weave tape to prevent them moving.
tested with meter,sh*t 22v.pluged charger in and reset bms, back to 42v.
been for 20mile ride down canal,no pedaling and all ok.
