Blowing Fuses

Hi.When i lift the drive whell of the ground the motor go OK.when under load the Fuse blows.this a Trike.4 batteries wired in Series & Parallel.Changed it from belt to chain drive,Ratio 38/11=3.4 Ratio,Seems to have a lot of speed with the back wheel of the ground,do you think the Ratio is to high or to low.Thank you for any help given.John

Check the wires inside the battery by the back of the fuse holder. It can occasionally happen on a Powabyke and its usually as a result of the wires fusing together under load.

Hi Fcurran.Not a powerbyke.It`s a E-Trike,batterys not in a box.Do you need to run the Earth wire from the controller & Battery to the frame.John

?? Not sure?!

Perhaps putting a higher voltage fuse in the battery may do the trick, however be aware this may put more strain on the circuit board.
