We used to enjoy these petrol bikes a lot, but memory dims, I had forgotten just how noisy they were.

They certainly were, and the vibration was bad too. Worst was the BSA Winged Wheel in that respect and the PowerPak second. A 50cc single cylinder bolted directly to the bike was always going to shake things up.

Any e-bike is sheer luxury in comparison.
