You can get pretty amazing deals on iPhones on Amazon but they are reconditioned (guaranteed for two years though) but only go up to I phones 7.

This is where I say your foolish though, why an iPhone? Huwei make the best phones in the world. Also if you want a really good deal then the honor seems the value bet when you look at the specs. Although I would always go Huawei.

Sorry. I just had to say it.

we are totally Apple in our household....;- tv, MacBooks, Mac, and iPhones.Airport etc

I have owned an iPhone since the first iPhone and progressed up to the 5 ( which has now died ) and updates are no longer issued. I like the simplicity of Apple IOS and OS(X). I have NEVER had any problems with Apple products. if I have a technical problem or question then the Apple back up is very good in my experience. So I will keep looking and hopefully get a good deal.

bit off side stating I'm foolish....Not very constructive.
Tend to agree. The Apple stuff is good and well integrated but once you buy into it your not likely to change. A bit like cameras.. I went with Canon but later thought Nikon might b better but I was so invested I couldn't change..
Anyway back to black Friday..
I have just bought the garmin varia radar mk2. For £99 from halfords. Not sure if its actually cheaper but It looks to be a massive improvement on the mk1

Called into local carphone warehouse today...asked about the availability and price for iPhone 8 plus..........

and before I could say anything further he said '' I will order you one now'' and started tapping away on his computer.....with that ''easy sales glint in his eyes...
so I said ''before you order me one can you tell me The Black Friday / Black Tag Event special price????''

''same as yesterday , but I can offer discount on a two year monthly plan on an iPhone XS .........waffle waffle sales pitch more waffle etc ''

I walked out.

Went to John Lewis today to buy a buggy and sleep pod thing. Wanted to check it out etc. The deal was ok. But when we went to pay they said we had to wait 4 weeks for delivery!

Ended up getting both from Amazon and saved 15 pounds plus arriving Monday.

Tried to help the high street but they fell short

I like to support independent local rather than high street per se. I'd pay the extra 15 quid to do so....but not a four week wait . Bambino get big quick !

John Lewis are hardly a struggling high street store there a multi million pound conglomerate
There also massive on line and also over priced as well

If you had been trying to support a local independent then great but there a long way from that
And let’s not get started on Amazon the bunch of tax avoiding scam artists I wouldn’t buy from them ever so personally I think you had a double fail

£150 for that u fkn nuts lol if you want the best of the best then look here.
https://custom.ultimateears.com/

or the best apple clones i have seen are these.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Padear-Mini-X-F10-mini-Auricolare-Bluetooth-Auricolari-Aria-Baccelli-i9s-Senza/292819218382?_trkparms=aid=111001&algo=REC.SEED&ao=1&asc=20160727114228&meid=36363126403447d4963fac36944c1c31&pid=100290&rk=1&rkt=4&sd=292819218382&itm=292819218382&_trksid=p2060778.c100290.m3507

these things have tiny batts in them and they cant be replaced easy or at all with the real apple ones so just remember they will end up in the bin at some point.

1500 bucks is quite a lot of money for some buds but yeah they look amazing and the tech is special.

I won’t get the apple ones. The true connect have a decent write up. But yes ultimately they will get lost. Would rather lose 150 quid 6 months down the line than invest over a grand.

I like the true connect as because I can listen to the radio in my left ear whilst cycling

I had an £80 btooth headset. Let it go flat for too long and it was dead as a dodo

problem is all of those wireless things sound crap to real headphones but the ue ones will last a life time and can be custom moulded to ur ears at a price.

i have had a pair of Sennheiser hd650s for near 10 years now and just as good the day i got them.

only good thing i can see you get for the money is the 3 year warranty which imo you will end up using then in the bin they will go.
