On my way to work this morning I saw a collision between two cyclists - never seen that happen before.

I was following them both, a few yards back. The one in front braked sharply to make a last minute turn and started to skid, and the chap behind him, who was pretty close, smashed right into him. Both ended up on the floor, but were able to remount and ride away.

Come to think of it. I've never seen it on the road with adults, though I have done with kids colliding. Best pile-ups are on the Tour de France on TV though, a dozen at a time. :D

Hi

I do not think it is funny to see any collision :(
I like brakes don't ban them.

thx

lol - a good few years back, me and a couple of friends were cycling down a suburban road, me leading. We came to a parked car, with an on-coming car, and I decided that I would let the oncoming car pass before overtaking the paked car.

Next I heard a, "Oh SH**" - squeal / Crunch, followed les than a second later by a "Oh F***" and another crunch.

My friends had assumed that I would 'squeeze through' and so had accellerated. When I turned around all I saw was a couple of humans intertwined with bikes.

Nobody was seriously injured (one cut), but I still look back fondly at the surprise on my face as compared to the anger on my friends faces when I turned around. :p

Ah, this has brought back a fond memory, late 70's I am skateboarding down a hill next to the common in Chalfont st. Peter. At higher speeds the board developed quite a wobble (this was one of the original tall, thin plastic jobs), so I leapt off onto the grass.

Much to the surprise of my mate who was right behind me on his bike...
