Electric bikes are too heavy for the cheaper ones. They're probably not so bad if you can remove the battery. If you have a garage, the ones that winch the bike up to the roof are quite good for a fiver when they were in Aldi. 20KG BICYCLE STORAGE RACK PULLEY HOIST BIKE LIFT CYCLE | eBay
Can't get chainreactioncycles site to load but they also sell some awesome stuff. Both use collect+ returns so very easy to send stuff back to them if it's naff. Chain reaction seems a bit better overall.
thanks guys....I quite like the look of the Riva stand....price is right too
.....wondering if the top clamp might snap off...may go for that one.
...cheers .... Mike
With this type of stand, I would want to clamp the seat pin or the cross bar to hold the bike up - then the 4 legs will get tangled with the cranks. Not good.
The arms don't look strong enough to keep 20kg of bike suspended horizontally from a wall but it would probably be OK suspended from a ceiling, so long as you can lift the bike into it.
I know it's a bit over your budget but I got one in a sale for about £35 iirc for my PAS kit bike very happy with it, I clamp on the top tube, seems stable enough.
