No it's a bike shed and I'm wondering whether a heavy ebike should be kept upright by just its wheels.

Here's another picture of it

It won't fit if you have wide tyres. My tyres were 1.95, and they were a tight fit in the rack at school, which was similar to yours. You can measure it to check - probably 2".

Another thing. Is that rack really secure? If it has public access, one day you'll come back to find your bike gone.

Indeed, I'll try it out tomorrow.

The bike shelter is behind the building where I recently started working (I didn't even know it was there until today). I was delighted when someone told me where it was. It's actually unusually secure in that it has locked doors, I'll also lock the bike to the rack as well.

Here's a more distant image, it's actually one 'cage' with three doors. There's also a security camera a few metres to the right of the blue door.

In my opinion that style of rack is perfect for bending wheels should the bike get pushed,or fall to one side, persoanlly ,I wouldn't use them, but must make sure that there is no way the bike can fall or move once in the channel.
But fair do's ,for your employer to provide secure parking.

It's seems secure enough in there. I'd be tempted to just use the bike stand, on my bike, and chain it to something structural within that cage. It doesn't look like the wind can get in there enough to blow it over.

I put it in the channel and it's actually quite stable, more than I thought it would be.

However, I couldn't bring myself to leave it like that, in case someone (like clumsy old me) pulls their bike out and leans back against mine in the process. So I put it in there but at the far end, with both wheels on the floor and the frame locked to the inner side pillar of the shelter, so it can't fall over at all.

When the bike loses its 'newness' I probably won't fret so much :)
