it was always the plan to put the cx motor on this thing and peter made it happen and 24hr postage as well

got it on in 30 mins and can feel the extra 15nm that the cx motor puts out than the 60 from the performance motor.

old motor on the box and new one installed, felt a bit stiff at first but can take about 150 miles to bed in the motor bearings but should keep this thing going for another 6 years :p

not bad for a 2014 haibike with 3 miles on the clock

Considering you don't ride in the rain or mud, it should be spotless plus you have a fetish of opening it every week.

that is only the 2nd time i have opened it from day one i put grease over both bearings as back then you never got that plastic protector to cover the right hand side bearing.

and the lock ring was plastic as well lol, but if you do remove the cover be carful not to damage the seal top left around the outside of the cover or put some grease around the outside so nothing can get inside ;)

peter saves the day yet again as the torque sensor security bolt was ceased solid and would not budge with the 17mm socket i got to remove it as just slipped so plan b was drill some holes in it to try to use my circlip plyers and broke the end of one of those so plan c out comes the Dremel and grind a lip in to it so can take it out with a hammer and screwdriver and bingo but the nut is totaled.

i need to remove that nut so can get the crank shaft out so i can check the circlips are still in place as one on the left side could be broken and wearing the nylon transfer gear.

to be continued ;)
