Very pleased with my folder but now realise i need more range and comfort. From the very start of my interest in ebikes i was very attracted to the Big Bear, so much so that i got onto the phone to order one, only to change my mind at the last second and ordered a Zephyr CDN instead. As i've said on here many times before, the CDN is a great bike, great hill climber and nice to ride but i do need more range and obviously more comfort for that. Now once again i'm thinking about buying a Big Bear and i've just spotted an Ezee Cadence for sale locally. It's second hand but as new and will cost about the same as a Big Bear. I've not actually seen it or ridden one but from the photos i just love it, a kind of old fashioned touring style, my sort of thing. Are they as good as they look? Please don't suggest i spend more than £850ish on something else as that's the limit.

The Woosh Zephyr-B is the best compromise - it has the Big Bear motor and wheels and hydraulic brakes and bigger chain ring and Neco BB and crankset. Also it folds. Remember: if it folds, it's gold!
Also, post your Zephyr CDN on the Woosh secondhand page after you get your new bike.

Thanks Trex, i've been looking at that new Zephyr B a lot, love it but it's only got a 25 miles range, much the same as what i've already got. I would like to increase to 40 miles.
Great idea about putting my Zephyr CDN on the secondhand page, i was wondering how to sell it, was thinking Ebay. If i put the bike back to it's original condition and posted in original box, what could i ask for it? Done 250 miles.

woosh warranty is transferrable - and it's got a few nice things that you may want to leave on it - so you should get quite good money for it, I reckon around £600-£640.

Thanks for that Trex, that's really good to hear. As this photo shows, it would be a shame to take the bits off so i will leave well alone and offer it with or without them. Back to the Zephyr B and i note that the battery can be removed for charging, that's also a "must have' for me and it would allow me to also carry a spare battery to increase the range. Now going to give this some serious thought. Any reviews yet on the Zephyr B or has anyone ever seen / ridden one?

Hi Glovemaking man,

I can confirm that the battery is new as the seller bought it from us less than a month ago.

I have a Cadence myself and describe it as a beach cruiser, it is probably the most comfortable bike I have ridden.
Thank you Cyclezee, i really do like the look of that bike and now you tell me about the comfort side i like it even more! I was a bit concerned why seller had bought a new battery for a bike described as 'like new'. I've really got something to think about now as i'm also liking the idea of the Zephyr-B but the Cadence really does look some bike, my sort of style..... Mmmm!!!!

Woosh zephyr-b has arrived. It's the best bike from Woosh so far.
Front wheel has QR and the bike is folding. Front brake has 180mm rotor, rear 160mm rotor, both sensored and hydraulic. Nice weight balance with in-frame battery with lock. Puncture resist wide road tyres. King Meter LCD, remote lockout at the front suspension.

It's possibly the lightest BPM bike on the market right now.

Very neat torque arms.

nice mudguard:

Hi GMM
If you like the Cadence you ought to take a look at our Sport range.

Due to arrive soon is an addition to the range, a Lite version, with fixed forks, fixed handlebars and vee brakes, but with the same upgrade options as the other bikes. (Not yet on the website, nor at our retailers, but due to be £849)

Let me know what you think.

Bideford, but they have no stock. Nearest are Bristol and Swindon with stock of the Sports, and no-one yet has demo stock of the Lite Bikes (they arrive at the end of this month) and will be shown first at the London bike show in February.

I'm no longer as active as I used to be on these forums, so it's probably better to email Juicy Bikes for specific details. One of the team will get back to you.

Pleased you like the looks - they're very nice to ride too and excellent in the hills.
Kind regards

That Woosh zephyr-b looks a seriously good bike for the price.
I'm not a great fan of folders in general but if I was wanting one I would certainly be looking at this one.
I wouldn't worry if any bike is a young or old persons bike, if you like it and it suits you just go ahead and get it.
Dave.

I rode two of them this morning. The bike I like more has the 180mm rotor to the rear wheel and 160mm rotor to the front. The pictures on the web page have the brakes the other way round, 180mm front and 160mm rear. The braking on the bike with 180mm rotor mounted on the rear BPM motor is more like in a car. Handling wise, the Zephyr-B has the centre of gravity and nimbleness of a crank drive rather than a hub drive like the Big Bear. A tad slower than the Big Bear but the 52T chain ring makes leisure riding much more pleasant. The BPM motor is also a bit noisier than the CD bikes. Two other customers were in the shop about the same time, one tried 5 bikes, the other 3. All three of us voted for the Zephyr-B. I forgot to mention, the odometer showed 13 miles when I had it. Apparently, a customer took out the brand new bike for a test ride yesterday, he clocked up 13 miles before giving it back.

Does a 52T chain ring mean it needs a special chain and why is 52T better? Does that rather elaborate looking suspension thingy work, many of these type things don't seem to do anything noticeable, like some saddles with springs. If this was not a folding bike, which would be the best buy, a Big Bear or a Zephyr B, taking into account the much longer range of the BB?
