What's the general view on BESV ebikes? Are they style over substance? Appear well designed, winning many design awards. Prices seem reasonable.

Has anyone any experience of them?

They suit some people. Direct drive motors are smooth, powerful and reliable, so riding with battery power is excellent. The downside is that freewheeling is very slightly compromised and riding without power wouldn't be pleasant. Apart from that, they're very well built bikes. You need a stable dealer because they're not the sort of bike you can fix yourself and you need to be sure that you can get spare parts in the future.
