Best phone app/guidance system

Hello,

I've an iPhone and a old car TomTom one.

And planning to cycle from Brighton to Balham tomorrow

I'm on my own and have not done it before. Any recommendations for guidance apps ? Or just is the old Tom better ?

I can mount either to my bars

Sorted, been given gpx files for a route by a good mate

Then loaded into a 1.49 app called gpx navigator

I was going to suggest oruxmaps but you can't learn it in a day. It uses cycling maps from Openstreetmap.

Thanks, I'll look it up as gpx navigator isn't great. Functional but needs a lot of polish

Now I have a handlebar phone mount I'll use it more and more
